AS LONG AS WE'RE TOGETHER
I am mounting this one on a granite base. As always, the pictures in the background that I use as models are my own horse Mona. The photos were take by Joseph Walsh, a wonderful photographer in the San Antonio area. This one will be completed when I figure out how to polish granite, or decide to take it to someone to have it done. I would like to learn to do it myself as I would like to use granite and marble as bases for sculptures in the future. I am still working through this, so will post more when I know more.
I polished the front of the granite base and added carved wood trim to the other three sides of the base. It won 3rd place in a competition at River Art Gallery and sold to a person from Canada. It always feels good when someone likes my work enough to buy it.
